2003 Modern Arnis Symposium – 23 Separate Classes – $35

Prof Remy Presas passed away in August of 2001.

In 2003, the art was fractured and emotions ran high. Any attempt at working together was fundamentally doomed from the start. This was during what I termed “the internet war years.” There were a couple of forums where disagreements were energetically vented and factions were created. It seemed at the time that nobody in Modern Arnis was going to work together.

Dr. Jerome Barber had other ideas. He decided to put on a symposium of Modern Arnis. This ran against the tide of then current Modern Arnis affairs. Videoed by the late George Denson, the video footage you are about to see shows a wide variance of the art initially taught by Remy Presas. Famous as well as less well known students of the Professor came together to show what they had gotten out of his teachings.

George Denson, prior to his untimely death, signed over the rights to this video over to Bram Frank, whose generosity allows me to make them public again.

I was one of the presenters at this event. I had a terrific time. It is my hope that you feel the same as you view these videos.
