Cracking The Code – Kata, Kumite & Budo Science Seminar – Karate Edge Dojo

On March 22, 2026, I gave a multi-faceted martial arts seminar which covered a number of topics relating to:

• Free-fighting (kumite),
• Kata application in self-defense breakdown,
• Kata attributes applied to free-fighting,
• Axioms of Budo Science and how they relate to all martial arts.

This seminar was a gift to Sensei Tony Bennest for his support over the years and was the  last one delivered to his dojo, Karate Edge before him moving to Florida.
