Modern Arnis Archival Series – Electronic Format

I began compiling the Modern Arnis Archival Series with the publication of De-Fanging The Snake – A Guide To Modern Arnis Disarms in 2001.  It has grown to become a significant part of The Super Dan Online Library. 

The Archival Series is specifically meant to catalog the techniques and approaches taught by Remy Presas presented from a Dan perspective. What is a “Dan perspective”? 

I began Modern Arnis with 14 years of world class karate skills under my belt.  My analytical skills were well known on the karate scene.  I applied these analytical skills in my arnis training so as to get the most out of them.  As one of the longest continuously training students of Remy Presas (since 1980), I have a unique history with Prof. Presas in that my learning with him covered every key transition in the art during its development in the United States. The Dan perspective is the ability to teach in a manner in which technical material can be duplicated by any student, no matter the experience level.
